The design of the nuts and fittings are unique in that the fitting is flat faced and the point of the ferrule is towards the nut. This makes the system more robust since the angled portion of the fitting cannot be damaged. For more information, please refer to Product Data Sheet - GC unions [PDF].
Features and benefits
GC nuts are made in a variety of:- Materials: stainless steel, nickel plated brass and brass.
- Lengths: standard (uses short ferrules) and extended (uses standard length ferrules).
- Tubing sizes: 1/16", 1/8" and 1/4" and mini-union.
- Hole sizes: regular or 1.2 mm for capillary columns.
- Configurations to complement the ferrule product range - regular, SilTite® range.
