Trajan Scientific and Medical with Monash University would like to announce a collaboration for the development of an HDX training centre at Monash University's Proteomics and Metabolomics Facility (MPMF).This collaboration will provide the university with access to a Trajan HDX system and allow Trajan to provide HDX training to the proteomics community in the region.
About HDX
Hydrogen Deuterium Exchange Mass Spectrometry (HDX-MS) is a powerful technique of ever-increasing importance that provides insight into protein dynamics. HDX-MS studies can be used to connect structure, behaviour and function of a protein, between proteins and drugs, development of life-saving vaccines, as well as the cause and potential resolution of protein misfolding diseases.
In harnessing the power of HDX-MS, insight into the key areas of scientific research like intelligent drug design and development of Biosimilar therapeutics: using HDX-MS can produce better medicines, faster and at a lower price. Day to day, HDX-MS can be used to investigate life-threatening diseases that come from proteins being unstable in the body and speed up medical research by making them more stable in the laboratory too.
About Trajan Scientific and Medical
Trajan is a global developer and manufacturer of analytical and life sciences products and devices founded to enrich personal health through scientific tools and solutions, we aim to support science that benefits people. Trajan’s products and solutions are used in the analysis of clinical, pharmaceutical, food, and environmental samples.
Trajan’s strategic direction is driven by a view that the quality of analytical data will become increasingly important in understanding factors that impact human health. That view drives a focus on technologies that enhance the sensitivity, selectivity, reliability and integrity of the sample, the laboratory workflow and ultimately the data and information derived from the analysis.
